Christmas lantern parade

Sale Town kicked off the festive season in November with a little help from Two by Two this year.

The Lantern Parade was sponsored by Sale Town Partnership and started with glitter-fuelled workshops at Coppice Library and Sale Library where we helped 270 children transform their lanterns. Lots of glue and glitter was involved and the children (and grown-ups!) had a brilliant time. The lanterns were taken to the Sale Town Christmas Extravaganza at The Square Shopping Centre where the town centre lights were switched on.

Everybody lit their lanterns and we lead the community on a parade through town over to Sale Waterside to wait for Santa to arrive on his sleigh boat. Now the weather outside was frightful…. but we were delighted by the number of families that still joined us on the parade and hope you all had an amazing time!!

Thank you for taking part, and helping light up Sale this Christmas.
